Terms of Use

Effective date: August 30, 2026.

These terms cover your use of the LeLau iPhone app. Downloading or using the app means you accept them. If you got LeLau from the App Store, Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies; where the two conflict, these terms apply to the extent Apple's agreement allows.

The app

LeLau is an on-device AI assistant. Answers are generated by machine-learning models running locally on your iPhone, optionally grounded in knowledge packs you install or build. The current app is free, with no account, subscription, or in-app purchases.

AI answers can be wrong

LeLau's answers are generated by small on-device models and may be incomplete, outdated, or incorrect, even when grounded in a pack. Do not rely on LeLau as a sole source for medical, legal, financial, or safety-critical decisions. Survival and first-aid content is general reference information, not professional advice; in an emergency, contact emergency services.

Your content

Material you paste, import, or build into packs stays on your device and remains yours. You are responsible for having the right to use material you import and for how you use content you export or share.

Acceptable use

Do not use LeLau to break the law, to infringe others' rights, or to attempt to circumvent the app's safety filtering. Network features route through Tor; you are responsible for complying with the rules of the networks you use.

Third-party services

Optional downloads and web look-up contact third-party hosts (over Tor). Those services are governed by their own terms. LeLau does not control them and is not responsible for their content or availability.

No warranty; limitation of liability

LeLau is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, to the maximum extent the law allows. To the same extent, LeLau's total liability for any claim related to the app is limited to the amount you paid for it (currently nothing). Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law, including your statutory rights as a consumer.

Changes

If the app or these terms change materially, we will update this page and its effective date. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the updated terms.
